IFA 2012: Samsung announces Galaxy Note II

Samsung Galaxy Note IIAs widely expected, Samsung today unveiled its successor to the Galaxy Note smartphone-tablet hybrid.

JK Shin also expects the Galaxy Note II to surpass the success of its predecessor which has sold over 10 million units to date.

Samsung also added a number of new utilities powered by the S Pen. These include Air View which previews content such as emails, images or videos when the S Pen hovers over it and Popup Note which brings up a new note automatically during a call when the S Pen is pulled out to quickly capture a new note.

The Samsung Galaxy Note II will launch in October in major European, Asian, and Middle East markets. Its North American launch will follow later. Pricing information was not revealed.
