Additional Google Nexus 9 launch details revealed

Rumoured Google Nexus 9

We found out just days ago that the HTC-built Google Nexus 9 could launch on or before October 9. Known also by a variety of codenames such as HTC T1, Volantis and Flounder, more launch information has now surfaced again courtesy of @upleaks, a relatively new leaker from China.

Predictably, the Wi-Fi variant will have a pretty broad launch. It is apparently coming to “soooooo many countries, include Korea and Japan.” The T1#UL variant, sporting LTE connectivity, is headed to Europe, Russia, India, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Taiwan, Australia (including New Zealand), Korea and Hong Kong. Dont’ worry if you don’t see North America in that list as it should get its own LTE variant, the 0P82200.

The HTC T1 will come with a range of accessories. Among them will be Magic Covers in both leather (Natural or Black) or TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) in a range of colours including Coral Amethyst, Mint Indigo, Lime Stone and Indigo Black

Pricing for the Gogole Nexus 9 is still unknown. It will presumably cost more than the 7-inch models sold for as Google is aiming to offer better specifications, including a 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor.

The Google Nexus 9 launch will presumably coincide with that of Android L (Lemon Meringue Pie?).
