IFA 2014: Microsoft announces Nokia Lumia 830 with 10MP PureView camera

Nokia Lumia 830

The IFA 2014 announcements continued today with Microsoft’s event at which it unveiled the Nokia Lumia 830. With its 10MP PureView camera, Microsoft is bringing its mobile camera technology to a more affordable price point than we have seen in the past. It describes the Lumia 830 as an “affordable flagship.”

It will also be among the first WIndows Phone 8.1 devices to ship with the new Lumia Denim update. This latest update includes “features such as Notification Center, Live Tiles, Microsoft Office, Cortana, OneDrive and exciting range of apps that sync across devices so you can pick up where you left off.” Best of all, the Lumia Denim update will bring Cortana to Canadians without having to resort to system tweaks.
