Moto 360 smartwatch coming to Canada this fall

Motorola Moto 360While the Motorola 360 went on sale (and promptly sold out) yesterday in the U.S., Motorola Canada announced that we’ll get our turn at getting or trying to get our hands on the first round Android Wear smartwatch “later this fall.”

Much has been revealed about the Moto 360 since it was first announced alongside Android Wear back in March. Missing so far had been complete specifications; these were announced today;

  • Rear-facing camera: None
  • Front-facing camera: None
  • Sensors: Pedometer, optical heart monitor (PPG)
  • Battery: 320mAh
  • Dimensions: 46.5 × 46.5 × 11.5 millimeters
  • Weight: 49 grams (with leather band)
  • Other: Wireless charging, dust and waterproof (IP67 rating)

Canada will initially get two variants, one in light gray with a gray Horween leather strap and another in dark gray with a black Horween leather strap. There is no word on when we might see the steel band models in Canada.

Also revealed today was an updated version of Motorola Connect, the app that lets you connect all of your Motorola accessories. Along with the added support for the Moto 360 is a new feature allowing users to customize watch faces.
