Samsung Galaxy A Series said to launch in early November

SamsungSamsung’s upcoming mid-range line of Galaxy A series smartphones has been rumoured for a while now. The Samsung Galaxy A7 popped up just days ago on a benchmarking site while its siblings, the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3, have also seen their specifications leaked. Now comes word that Samsung could unveil the new line as soon as early November. The launch is expected to take place in China.

The Galaxy A Series should adopt the new design philosophy introduced with the Galaxy Alpha. All three are expected to sport metal frames. The three new devices are reportedly intended to regain market share it has lost in China to smaller players such as Xiaomi which have quickly risen to challenge its dominance by offering well-specced devices at wallet-friendly prices. The three devices are expected to adopt the same approach in a bid to better compete against Samsung’s smaller and more nimble competitors.

The report adds that the Samsung Galaxy A devices will sell for between US$350 and US$500. At the low end, the Galaxy A3 will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, a 4.5-inch HD (720×1280) display and 1GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy A7, the most powerful of the three, is expected to come with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 5.2-inch Full HD (1080×1920) display and, 2GB of RAM.

There is no word yet if the Samsung Galaxy A Series will be available globally.
