Sony unveiled the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet at Mobile World Congress alongside its Xperia Z2 smartphone. The global rollout was set to begin in March and is now reaching Canada. Sony Canada is now taking pre-orders for the ultra-thin tablet in both countries and it will land at Sony Stores starting on May 5, 2014.
Sony Canada is also running a limited time offer that includes six movies from Sony Pictures, including Captain Phillips and American Hustle, through the Video Unlimited service, a 30-day free trial of the Music Unlimited service and eight PlayStation Mobile games with the purchase of the Xperia Z2 Tablet.

We had a chance to play with the Sony Xperia Z2 for a brief time a while back and came away impressed at how thin and light it was. Sharing many of the same specifications as the Xperia Z2, this tablet is no slouch when it comes to performance thanks to a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and 3GB of RAM.
Sony is offering the Xperia Z2 Tablet with 16GB (in black) for CA$529.99 and the 32GB model (in black or white) for CA$599.99. Sony expects that pre-orders will start shipping around May 7.
