As widely expected, Google today unveiled its latest generation of Nexus smartphones. The Google Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P are the first smartphones to be powered by the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow include a new fingerprint sensor that will support Google Pay.

The Google Nexus 5X is built by LG, the same company that built the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5.

The Nexus 5X will start at US$379 (CA$499) for the 16GB model and US$$429 (CA$549) for the 32GB model. The Nexus 6P will start at US$499 (CA$699) for the 32GB model. The 64GB model will sell for US$549 (CA$749) and the 128GB for US$649 (CA$849).
Both Nexus smartphones are now available for pre-order in the U.S. as well the U.K., Ireland and Japan. The Google Nexus 6P can also be pre-ordered in Canada now while the Nexus 5X pre-orders are set to start in the near future.
