To commemorate the martial artist’s birthday, Hublot, in partnership with the Bruce Lee Foundation, unveiled the limited edition Hublot Spirit of Big Bang for Bruce Lee timepiece. Inspired by by the dragon pattern on Bruce Lee’s desk and limited to only 75 pieces, it blends “the spirit of the martial legend and the pure DNA of Hublot.”

“Icon of the 20th century, and one of the most influential martial artists of all time, Bruce Lee’s life embodies the art of fusion. An east-west cultural fusion. Based on his personal martial arts philosophy, he broke the traditional boundaries of different martial art styles and created a new spirit: the Jeet Kune Do. By joining hands with the Bruce Lee Foundation, Hublot has set up a memorial exhibition and created a watch as a tribute to the pioneer of an era, an immortal legend,” said Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe.

The Hublot Spirit of Big Bang for Bruce Lee uses a HUB4700 automatic winding skeletonized movement. It incorporates Bruce Lee’s iconic yellow and black in the dial and strap. The dial sports a date window at the 4:30 mark while the chronograph displays seconds at 9 o’clock, minutes at 3 o’clock and hours at the 6 o’clock position.

The official unveiling of the Hublot Spirit of Big Bang for Bruce Lee earlier this week was accompanied by an exhibition at at the Gateway Arcade in Harbour City in Hong Kong. It included a genuine copy of the “Way of the Dragon” script which had been originally titled “Enter the Dragon”, a copy of the life mask of Kato from “The Green Hornet” and a cylindrical glass photo frame that featured Bruce Lee’s classic kung fu postures.

The Hublot Spirit of Big Bang for Bruce Lee sells for approximately US$30,000 (about CA$40,000). As a limited edition, only 75 will be available.
