Microsoft has released two new ads for the Lumia 635 smartphone. But rather than focusing on the features that make it the smartphone you have to have, both look at Lumia 635 who recently broke up with someone. But as you would expect from Valentine season ads, both have happy endings.
Breaking up is really hard (especially around Valentine’s Day). You invest so much in someone that you can’t imagine life without them. Until you meet someone else, that is. And if that someone else is Cortana rather than Siri… well, who can blame you? After all, Cortana accepts everyone for who they are. So feel free to change your relationship status.
In the first ad, a man explains how he’d “just had enough” and how he met someone else. “I’m just blown away by how well she knows me,” he explains, adding that “she reminds me of everything” and knows all the best restaurants among other things.
Microsoft’s second ad proves that not only men find Cortana irresistible. “I’m not like everybody else, dad,” explained a woman to her father before telling him that she’s met someone who’s got her back and makes sure she is never late.
It remains to be seen if either of these ads will be enough to convince people to trade in their iPhones for a new Lumia 635. After all, who hasn’t done some crazy things when in love?
The Nokia Lumia 635 is available in Canada from a number of carriers including Fido, Rogers Wireless, Koodo and TELUS Mobility.
It’s more a matter of giving up Apple for Microsoft. The phones seem nice but it can be difficult to adapt to a whole different way of doing things. Maybe a girlfriend is worth it for some. 😉
