Google last week announced that interactive watch faces are coming to your Android Wear smartwatch with the next update. A single tap will offer new interactions such as the ability for the watch face to change, display additional information or even launch a different application. Three such watch faces were features in its announcement but it turns out that more than 20 are already available.
Along with ustwo’s Bits Watch Face and Android Wear’s Together Watch Face, you’ll find an assortment of other interactive watch faces. Among them are these:
- Zuhanden Skymaster Pilot Watch Face which is now more easily customizeable (CA$1.40)
- Sam Ruston Weather Timeline – Forecast which presents the weather forecast a timeline and a time machine weather forecast that lets you see the weather forecast far into the future or in the past (CA$0.99)
- WatchMaster HeyKittyKitty watchface for all the cat lovers you know (Free)
- Under Armour Record which brings all your statistics to your wrist (Free)
- Pujie Black updated with new Calendar view & Fit view accessible with screen taps (CA$2.10)
Keep in mind that all of these watch faces require Android Wear 1.3. Choosing your first interactive watch face will at least keep you busy a moment or two while you wait for the update needed to use these to their full potential.
