Samsung may have opted to hold its next Unpacked event a few weeks ahead of its traditional IFA date but at least one competitor will return to the consumer electronics show for its next press event. Sony today confirmed via its Sony Italia subsidiary that it will announce new products on September 2nd.
Judging by the image posted with the announcement, Sony could unveil a range of new products including perhaps a successor to the Sony SmartWatch 3 (which itself was announced at last year’s IFA event), new Xperia smartphones, new cameras and more.

Sony earlier today announced its new Xperia C5 Ultra and Xperia M5 smartphones so a new Xperia Z5 flagship (rumours suggest a 5.5-inch display and 21MP rear and 8MP front cameras) could be the star of the IFA 2015 announcement. A new companion smartwatch would certainly go well with it too, don’t you think?
IFA 2015 itself runs from September 4th to September 9th. It will again take place in Berlin.
