Apple offers employees rainbow Apple Watch strap for Pride weekend

Pride strap for Apple WatchPride celebrations took place this past Sunday in a number of U.S. cities. As in past years, a number of Apple employees, including CEO Tim Cook, took part in the San Francisco Pride parade. According to Reddit user Sakusuhon, those who had registered ahead of the event received rainbow-patterned straps for their Apple Watches.

The limited-edition straps were given out as “a symbol of our commitment to equality and we hope you’ll wear it with pride.”

Since the original post went up earlier this week, a number of other redditors have been asking if they can purchase one or if recipients would be interested in selling theirs.

There is no word if Canadian Apple employees taking part in Toronto’s own Pride parade on July 3rd will also receive a rainbow Apple Watch strap.
