Spb AirIslands adds square screen support

Spb AirIslands

Spb Software House has released an update to Spb AirIslands, a game based on a unique concept that blends a real-time strategy game with a set of mini-games. Version 1.1 adds support for QVGA square screen devices like the Palm Treo700w and HP iPAQ 6500. Unlike most other Pocket PC games, with Spb AirIslands 1.1 we have not just resized the graphics to 240×240 at runtime. We have actually specially designed a square screen support version, including levels adaptation for better playing on square devices.

Version 1.1 also adds an improved graphics engine that improves the frames per second rate by some 30 percent. The new engine also adds support for most Pocket PC 2002 devices.

Spb AirIslands is available for both QVGA and VGA devices for $19.95 USD from our affiliate PocketGear. A trial version is also available. The upgrade is free for 1.x users.
