We found out about the i-mate Urban line of mobile devices back in August. i-mate was planning up to four devices in this mid-range Windows Mobile line. Earlier this month, i-mate announced that it was canceling this product line because of failed quality tests. The devices were to have been manufactured by Inventec.
Not surprisingly, the cancellation also marks the end of the cooperation between Inventec and i-mate.
The Ultimate lineup (consisting so far of the 6150 and 8150) has also been delayed due to a “quality test” but should still ship this quarter.
