Socket Communications which offers a number of mobile device accessories (such as CF and SD Wi-Fi cards) announced that it plans to introduce a line of handheld mobile computer products. Socket’s unique, solutions-focused mobile computing product line will specifically target mobile workers providing essential customer-facing services in key business verticals including healthcare, retail, hospitality, field sales and field service.
Details are slim right now but Socket plans to have the first devices available sometime in the second quarter. Socket expects to release more information on designs, specifications and availability in the next few months.
