Two more movie studios head for iTunes store

Both MGM and United Artists have started to offer movies on the Apple iTunes Store. Among the titles already being offered are Ronin, The Thomas Crown Affair, Dances with Wolves and others. The movies offered are somewhat older and more recent releases don’t appear to be available. More titles are also expected in the upcoming weeks.

MGM and United Artists join Lionsgate, Paramount and Disney among the studios offering movie downloads through Apple.

With the recent release of the Apple TV, this renewed push by Apple to grow its online movie and TV sales is not unexpected.
