Apple

Engagdet has learned some new details about the upcoming 3G iPhone. According to them, the second generation iPhone will sport much the same look and size and come with a number of improvements, aside from the addition of 3G connectivity.

The new iPhone will look only somewhat different. The back will no longer use metal and will be completely black. The volume buttons will be chrome. It will be slightly thicker, with fewer sharp corners. The headphone jack will be flush with the body. It will also come with GPS. On the downside, it will still come with a non-removable battery.

The release date continues to float around the June or July timeframe.
