Another upcoming LG smartphone has been revealed. Following the recent discovery of the mysterious LG-D678, the LG-D410 has now surfaced in a number of places, including the Bluetooth SIG, the GFXBench benchmark results database. Its UAProf file was also found on the LG website itself.
The benchmark results give us the most information. They tell us the LG-D410 will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor (MSM8226) likely clocked at 1.2GHz and Android 4.4 KitKat (KRT16S build at this point). It also reveals a qHD (540×960) display.
The Bluetooth SIG certification adds that the LG-D410 will come with Bluetooth 4.0. It also describes the device as the ‘LGE 3G Mobile Phone,’ indicating that it will not sport 4G LTE connectivity.
The UAProf file on LG’s website confirms the qHD display and the lack of LTE with HSPA, GPRS and EDGE being supported.
All together, the specifications point to a mid-range device at best. MyLGPhones surmises that this could be the LG G2. If it is, this will turn out to be a disappointing turn of events after an earlier rumour suggested that the LG G2 Mini would be a smaller version of the LG G2 with a 4.7-inch display but otherwise very similar specifications (including its Snapdragon 800 processor) and 2GB of RAM.
With CES 2014 just around the corner, perhaps LG will make a number of smartphone announcements at the event. If so, we may find out then (if not before) whether the LG-D410 is the LG G2 Mini or another smartphone entirely.
