Along with discounted apps, books, movies and music, the Google Play Canada Black Friday sale also offers some discounts on hardware, including the LG G Watch and Chromecast.
The LG G Watch, the first Android Wear smartwatch, has been deeply discounted from the usual CA$249 to CA$99, a CA$150 savings. While it may not be the most attractive smartwatch on the market, that price makes it very affordable for anyone wanting to try out an Android Wear smartwatch. It also comes with a CA$50 Google Play credit that you’ll be able to use to pick up some custom watchfaces as well as other apps (and not just for your new smartwatch).
Google is also offering a CA$50 discount on the Nest Learning Thermostat, bringing the price down to CA$199.
Update: While the LG G Watch is supposed to be on sale until Monday, it would appear that it has already sold out. It remains to be seen if Google will add more stock over the weekend.
