Motorola announces Moto Maxx

Motorola Moto MaxxAfter being the topic of recent rumours, Motorola today announced the Moto Maxx at a press event in Brazil. As expected, it is effectively a rebranded DROID Turbo without the CDMA connectivity that Verizon uses.

On the software side, the Moto Maxx comes with the usual Motorola staples such as Moto Display, Moto Voice and Quick Capture.

The Moto Maxx is launching today in Brazil and in mid-November in Mexico. Launches in additional Latin American countries will follow after. Pricing was not announced but should be revealed as soon as the Moto Maxx hits the Motorola website.

Motorola did not say today if and when the Moto Maxx will launch in markets outside of South and Central America. One market where it is unlikely to launch is the U.S. where Verizon is offering its nearly identical sibling, the DROID Turbo.
