Retired @evleaks reveals Google Nexus 6

Rumoured Google Nexus 6Famed leaker @evleaks retired in early August. While adamant at the time that this was it for him, he dipped a toe back in to the world of leaks later that month to reveal the Moto X (2014) ahead of its launch. He’s back today with a render of the upcoming Google Nexus 6. The leak follows a number of “depressing few days” for @evleaks during which he has engaged in a very public dispute with TK Tech News who was the heir apparent before their falling out.

The new image confirms what recent rumours have been saying. It reveals a device that shares much in common with the second generation Moto X. Needless to say, it sports the new Android L operaing system with its designed navigation buttons. The volume rocker appears lower down on the side than it does on the Moto X, a possible indication of the size of the Nexus 6 which is rumoured to come with a 5.9-inch WQHD display. It also appears to sport very thin bezels, especially at the top and bottom.

The Google Nexus 6 could be announced as early as tomorrow alongside the HTC-built Google Nexus 9 and Android L (Licorice, Lollipop, Lion or Lemon Meringue Pie?).

Welcome back @evleaks!
