Sony SmartBand SWR10 now available in Canada

Sony Smartband SWR10If you were disappointed when May came and went without the Sony SmartBand SWR10 making its expected Canadian appearance, we have good news for you today. It may have taken a bit longer than expected but it is now available in Canada both through Sony and Rogers Wireless.

Much like similar wearables, the Sony SmartBand SWR10 tracks your activity levels and connects to your smartphone to offer notifications and to act as a remote control for your music player. It works with Sony’s Lifelog app to measure progress against fitness goals and track various social activities and special life events, giving you a look at your complete day rather than focusing on a single aspect of it. For example, it can show you how active you were, where you went and what pictures you took that day.

At the heart of the SmartBand is the Sony Core, the heart of the device. It can be pulled out of the SmartBand and Sony promises to offer other accessories that will work with it.
