Richard Mille opens first Canadian boutique

Toronto Richard Mille boutiqueIt just got easier for Canadians looking to strap a new Richard Mille watch to their wrist. The Swiss watchmaker recently opened its first Canadian boutique in Toronto’s upscale Yorkville neighbourhood. The new location is operated by jeweler Louis Black under a licensing agreement.

Much like Richard Mille timepieces themselves, the store layout is quite unique. It features a number of smaller alcove-like spaces for more private showings. As one would expect, Richard Mille watches are featured in display glasses throughout the store.

Since its first timepiece, the RM001, went on sale back in 2001, Richard Mille has offered unique and colourful timepieces for both men and women. It has endorsed a range of entertainment and sport personalities, including Jackie Chan, Natalie Portman, Fernando Alonso (as well as the Mclaren F1 racing team) and Rafael Nadal (who wears the Richard Mille RM 27-03 Rafael Nadal pictured below). Often produced in very limited editions, prices for a Richard Mille timepiece can run into the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Toronto now joins a limited number of Richard Mille boutiques in the world. Other locations include other affluent cities such as Monaco, Hong Kong, Beverly Hills, Miami and Riyadh.

The Toronto Richard Mille boutique is located on the second floor at 135 Yorkville Avenue, not far from The Hazelton Hotel.
