Nico Gerard Pinnacle Watch puts traditional and Apple Watch on your wrist

Nico Gerard PinnacleIt’s interesting times for the watch industry. Electronic manufacturers are starting to muscle into the space with smartwatches that offer a wider range of functions than most traditional watches. But while consumers may like the extra convenience, few smartwatches are winning points for style and elegance when compared to their traditional siblings.  As a result, many  a consumer has been left to choose between functionality and fashion. Nico Gerard, a technology-driven luxury brand from California, now claims to have solved the conundrum and is bringing together “the classic and the modern; fashion and technology” with their Nico Gerard Pinnacle luxury watch.

As you can see, the Nico Gerard Pinnacle is in fact two watches in one. On one side, you have a 38mm Apple Watch; on the other, you have a traditional timepiece with mechanical movement certified by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres, the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute. The top of your wrist will have one watch and the bottom the other.

Three versions of the Nico Gerard Pinnacle will be available. The Pinnacle and Skyview Pinnacle will both sport stainless steel cases and bracelets. The Sunrise Pinnacle will use 18K gold instead and feature a red dial to let you “experience the excitement of a sunrise as this unique work of art graces your wrist.”

For example, the Apple Watch’s sensitive heart rate monitor may not work as well on the bottom of your wrist as it does on the top. If nothing else, it will certainly be a conversation starter.
