Apple plans special event for September 7

Apple

Apple is sending invitations to reporters for a special event that will take place on September 7 at San Francisco’s Moscone Center. The invitation hints that the news will be as big as the release of the first 5GB iPod almost four years ago. Rumours suggest that we could see an announcement around a video iPod as well as larger capacity iPod shuffle players and even the possiblity that the iPod mini will move to flash-based storage. Other rumours suggest that we could finally see Motorola’s iTunes ROKR cell phone.
