HP has released a fix for the battery issue introduced in ROM 1.10. Essentially, the battery capacity value was not set properly, resulting in the iPAQ thinking that the battery capacity was less than it actually is and thereby reporting incorrect battery level information. The fix resets the battery capacity value to its correct setting.
ROM version 1.10 is required prior to installing this fix. This XIP firmware update does not change the ROM version. To confirm that the XIP firmware update was successful, check the XIP version number. The new XIP version number will be 4.21.15045.4.
