Cellphone and computer merge into handheld

Convergence takes another step forward. DualCor Technologies will soon unveil the cPC, a device that runs Windows XP Tablet and comes with a built-in smartphone running Windows Mobile 5.0. Its dimensions are 6.5 inches long, 3.3 inches wide and 1.2 inches thick. It also features a 5-inch diagonal screen (capable of a brightness level of 200 NITS), a 1.5GHz C7-M Via Technologies processor and 1GB of RAM. On the phone side, there is an Intel processor, 128MB RAM and 1GB of ROM.

DualCor claims that the device will be able to run applications simultaneously for 8 or more hours due to some engineering advances that they were able to achieve.

At an expected price of $1500 USD, it will remain to be seen if the target audience, namely global knowledge workers according to DualCor, feel that the device is worth the premium and that it can live up to expectations!
