Makayama Interactive has updated DVD to Pocket PC, its software that lets you convert DVD movies to files small enough to be transferrable onto Pocket PC devices. The new version promises much faster conversions (a full length movie should take less than 45 minutes now). A Windows Mobile 2003 device is required. I could not find mention of whether it is also compatible with Windows Mobile 5.0
Makayama claims that you will be able to fit about 8 films on a single 1GB card!
DVD To Pocket PC 3.0 is available for $32.95 USD from our affiliate Handango. A trial version is also available. The upgrade is free to users of version 2.5 and is available for $11.95 USD for earlier versions.
