Less than two months after it ousted Carly Fiorina, HP has chosen its new CEO: Mark Hurd, currently NCR chief executive. Hurd is expected to start his new job next month and he will serve as both president and chief executive withPatricia Dunn retaining the chairwoman title.
NCR is a much smaller company than HP with $5.98 billion in revenues last year. But Hurd apparently tackled on many of the same issues facing HP today when he took over the reins at NCR and became CEO in March 2003.
