More Intel Apple details

Apple

Think Outside has dug up additional information on the upcoming Intel Macs. Unlike previous reports, Think Outside reports that the iBook line will see one Intel model announced in January at Macworld Expo. Other models are possible but would also focus on consumer-geared models (Intel Mac mini?) rather than higher end professional ones. Pricing actions are also expected to make Apple more competitive.

Think Secret goes on to speculate that it is likely that Apple with use the Yonah processor(the successor to the Pentium M) but whether it’s single or dual core remains uncertain.

No matter what models are announced, one thing is clear. Apple is trying very hard to accelerate the transition to Intel processors to ensure that there is minimal disruption to sales.
