Sprint has begun to rollout its EVDO 3G data network in major airports and business districts in 34 markets. Their plan is to deliver EVDO coverage to about 60 metropolitan areas by early 2006 (providing coverage to approximately 150 million customers in 200 urban and suburban markets).
Initially, Sprint will offer its EVDO service to business customers with pricing starting at $40 USD per month for 40MB of data. An unlimited access plan will alos be offered for $80 USD a month.
EVDO can provide average users with download speeds ranging from 400 to 700 Kbps with peak rates up to 2.0 Mbps.
