Spb Software House has announced the release of Clone, a tool that allows you to to clone and restore applications, files and registry settings onto several Pocket PC devices. Essentially, if your enterprise has to set up a number of devices with a standard software image, with Clone, all you have to do to set up a number of Pocket PC devices is set up the first one and then let Clone do its thing.
So how does it work? In a nutshell, Spb Clone creates a self-extracting and self-executing image file that you store on an SD card. The image file contains all the database, file and registry information that you need to clone another device.
On average, the cloning process will take about 3 minutes. Data compression and encryption are provided.
