In followup to the story about the missing RAM in Windows Mobile 5.0, Mike Calligaro has posted a new entry on the Windows Mobile Team blog that looks at how much RAM WM5.0 uses. The entry is in response to people asking why WM5.0 can take up to 3 times more RAM to boot up as WM2003SE.
The Windows Mobile Team post covers the investigation that followed to see what was happening. The conclusions are quite interesting: It appears that at least one manufacturer has made some changes that use up more RAM under Windows Mobile 5.0. Are others doing it too?
