A cellphone designed for simplicity and readability

Emporia emporiaLife

How many times have you heard someone complain that the text on the screen on their cellphone is unreadable? Or that it’s too complicated to use? While most of us are focused on the latest and greatest, there are those that simply want an easy to use phone. It is that demographic that Austrian company Emporia is targeting with its emporiaLife phone.

It comes with features like an emergency button (a one touch call for help), large buttons, a big display with large lettering, simple navigation (the default screen is the contact list), speakerphone, hearing aid compatibility and loud volume and ringing tones. It will also run on AA batteries when the Li-Ion battery runs out of charge. It supports GSM/CDMA (900/1800 or 850/1900MHz) bands.
