Airscanner has announced the return of its popular Airscanner Mobile Sniffer for Pocket PC. Updated for both WM2003SE and WM5.0, the new version also comes with an optimized design. This tool will let network administrators capture information such as user passwords out of air using its Ethereal packet capture format. With the information in hand, network can be further secured before hackers take advantage of any vulnerabilities. Another mode, promiscuous mode, will let administrators find unauthorized users on their networks. Filters can also be set up to monitor selected information only.
Aircanner Mobile Sniffer is available directly from Airscanner for $89.99 with 1 year of updates and support or $134.95 with 2 years of updates and support. A 30 day trial version is also available.
