A rumour is floating about that a Zune user could get Microsoft credits when a song that they shared with someone else is then bought. Essentially, if you buy a song that I sent you over the Zune’s Wi-Fi, I would receive a credit for future purchases. CrunchGear has heard the same rumour from two separate sources, leading them to speculate that where there is smoke, there is also fire. The credits could then be redeemed on the Zune Marketplace for free songs or other products offered.
If this turns out to be true, it could be a very smart move by Microsoft as it would turn all Zune users into potential sales people for the Zune Marketplace.
