HP has announced a reorganization that will give handhelds their own business unit, separating it from the current notebook business unit. The new unit will be headed up by Dave Rothschild, formerly of Sun Microsystems, Pixo and Netscape and he will report to Todd Bradley, executive vice president of HP’s Personal Systems Group.
Hopefully, this means a renewed focus on handhelds and a return to the innovation that made the early iPAQs leaders in the handheld space. Yes, I am an optimist!
