Quietly, HTC has been working on a potential successor to the HTC Artemis. The HTC Love is already available as the Dopod M700. The HTC Love is powered by a 200MHz TI OMAP 850 CPU and Windows Mobile 5.0 with AKU 3.0. It will come with 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM, a 2.8-inch QVGA display, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with A2DP and AVRCP, a 2MP camera, an FM tuner, a miniUSB port and a microSD slot. It also comes with software focused on multimedia, including equalizers and a media hub application.
If the Love is indeed Artemis’ successor, one would expect it to also include GPS capabilities but these are strangely lacking from the information revealed so far. Furthermore, the Dopod M700 also does not feature GPS.
