i-mate 2007 roadmap revealed?

Italian site newsMobile has landed what looks like i-mate’s 2007 roadmap. A number, like the JAQ3 and SPL, came out in October.

Rumoured i-mate 2007 roadmap

The i-mate SPW is a candybar GSM/GPRS/EDGE smartphone. Powered by a Texas Instrument 200MHz OMAP processor, it will come with 64MB ROM and 128MB RAM, a microSD slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 1.1 and a 1.3MP camera.

The rumoured i-mate K-Jar also appears on the roadmap. This clamshell design will also come with Windows Mobile 5.0 and a 200 MHz Texas Instruments OMAP processor. Unlike the previous rumours which had it as a tri-band GSM phone, newsMobile has it as a quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE device with 64MB ROM and 128MB RAM, a mini-SD slot, a 2.8-inch QVGA screen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 2MP camera. On the outside, it will have a 93×93 pixel OLED display.

In February, we could see two new i-mate devices: The JAQ4 and the SP JAM. The JAQ4 will come with an integrated QWERTY keyboard and quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE. No word on the processor but it will have built-in GPS (using the SirfStar III chipset), 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM, a 2.8-inch QVGA screen, a miniSD slot, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 1.2.

The SP Jam is another quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE candybar smartphone. Powered by a 350MHz Freescale processor, it will come with 64MB RAM and 256MB ROM, a 2.8-inch QVGA display, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, a mini-SD slot and a 2MP camera. More interestingly, it will come with integrated GPS as well as TV-out.

All of these i-mate phones will run Windows Mobile 5.0.
