Think Secret is reporting that Apple has signed on Lions Gate Entertainment to its upcoming iTunes movie rental service. The information was disclosed during a financial earnings conference call. Apple has apparently already signed Walt Disney, Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros to the offering.
Think Secret had originally expected the new service to be announced as part of Apple’s WWDC but the announcement failed to materialize. It is now expected to roll out sometime in September. The Lions Gate call only confirmed that Apple is planning to launch some time before the end of the year.
