Mouse or a gun trigger?

Japanese company Sigma has developed a radically different mouse called the SGM2 presentation mouse. It works like a gun’s trigger by letting the user control the screen with their thumb (using a trackball) and trigger finger. The base is also designed in such a way that it can also be used as a desktop mouse as well. The mouse can toggle between 400 and 800 DPI to better control mouse movements on bigger screens.

The mouse will work with both PCs and Macs through USB. Unfortunately, it is not wireless which limits its usefulness as a presentation tool.

The mouse is available from Sigma in four colours (including Cancer/gun metallic).

The SGM2 even stars in its own movie. (English site still under construction).
