Gmail Mobile, the Java-based version of Gmail for mobile phones released almost a year ago, is getting some updates today. The new version improves on the user interface (for example, fewer clicks are now required to launch Gmail and manage emails). It also adds mobile-specific functionality like the ability to press one button to make a call to an email sender and optimized full-screen mode for viewing attachments.
Gmail Mobile is a free application but your wireless plan could charge you to download and use it.
