Apple iPhone letter to FCC is a hoax

The letter Apple sent to the FCC asking them for to keep a certain number of documents confidential until June 15, 2007 has turned out to be a hoax. Sharp eyes have found that the document is in fact a photoshopped (Is that even a verb?) version of the filing for the Airport Extreme base station announced in January.

What made this hoax more credible is that both Apple and Cingular (who will carry the Apple iPhone) have themselves indicated that the iPhone will launch in June.
