ASUS working on Windows Mobile Smartphone with HSDPA and GPS?

Traditionally, ASUS A-series devices have not included mobile telephony capabilities. But that is about to change if the rumour received by the::unwired turns out to be true. Information that they have just received suggests that ASUS is working on a new A-series device that would also come with GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA support.

Aside from those telephony capabilities, the new device would come with Windows Mobile 6 Professional, a 520MHz Marvel processor, 128MB RAM and 256MB ROM, integrated GPS (using the SiRFStar III chipset), an FM tuner, and a 3.2MP auto-focus camera.

There is no information yet on when such a device would see the light of day and for how much.
