Flash-based Zunes get FCC approval

Microsoft Zune

The Microsoft flash-based Zune player has been confirmed by the FCC just ahead of the expected Microsoft announcement. The documentation confirms that it will come with either 4GB or 8GB capacity. Further details are light but the FCC label diagrams support the pictures leaked earlier. Engadget also dug far enough to confirm built-in Wi-Fi using a Marvel 88W8686 chipset.

Further Engadget sleuthing also reveals a Zune FM transmitter and a dock.
