Handset screen size continues to grow

Not only is the screen resolution of mobile devices improving but the physical screen size is also getting larger. The most popular screen size for handsets is now the 2.4-inch display, according to a report by DigiTimes. The 2.4-inch display replaced the 1.8-inch display at the king of the hill but its reign may be short as demand for 2.8-inch displays continues to grow as well.

Demand for 3- to 5-inch panels and those running WQVGA (400×240) is also growing as mobile TV continues to get more popular.
