More price cuts coming to flash memory products

SanDisk has announced that it will cut pricing on NAND components up to 40 percent (compared to Q4) as it tries to maintain marketshare in a market faced with excess supply and weak demand. In the past two months alone, pricing has deteriorated by about half, according to SanDisk.

While this is good news for us consumers, it means that about 250 employees will lose their jobs and salary cuts for senior management or freezes for everyone else.
