It looks like HTC is getting behind the Google Android mobile phone platform in a big way. According to the Chinese-language Commercial Times, analyst firm Morgan Stanley estimates that HTC could ship up to one million Android-based handsets in 2008 alone. That would amount to about 8 percent of HTC’s total 2008 shipments.
This follows earlier comments by HTC that it was planning to offer a variety of Android-based devices starting in mid-2008.
