Access, Co., Ltd. announced that the current Palm OS has been renamed Garnet OS. Garnet was first used as the code name for what became Palm OS 5.4. Access also unveiled a new Access Powered logo which will appear devices that use the operating system.
The move is due to an agreement that Access has with Palm, Inc. in which it sold the rights in the Palm Trademark Holding Company to Palm.
Does this set a record for number of name changes for an operating system that has not changed in years?
