RIM looking at new keyboard technologies with Eatoni

Research in Motion will partner with New York-based Eatoni Ergonomics to develop new text predictive keyboard technologies. The move is part of a settlement between the two companies after the two firms sued each other over keyboard technology patents.

The new agreement gives RIM a licence to use Eatoni technologies and also sees RIM making an equity investment in Eatoni.
